Project Description

On the national level the Zhejiang Representative Office`s main partners are the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. In Zhejiang the main partner is the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education. The Zhejiang Representative Office`s work aims to develop and implement solutions that contribute to achieving the UN Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Next to government ministries and departments the office cooperates with universities, teacher training institutions, education providers, NGOs and schools. Hanns-Seidel-Foundation (HSF) Zhejiang’s work focuses on developing Quality Education (SDG 4) for all learners. A specific focus is laid on enabling policy level dialogues, teacher trainings and on promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

As communicators of knowledge and values, local government departments and educational institutions play a crucial role in fostering social change. The aim of the HSF Zhejiang Representative Office is to support its Chinese partners in this process. In this work the office counts on the continuing support of its partners, which include UN agencies, German Federal and State ministries and a variety of education providers.
